It started from our parents journeying across the ocean to Canada. Having been vegetarians all their lives, they always created good affinity. They wished to give this land all the best.
Our specialty is not Café yet we are called King’s Café because someone said “coffee is the trend here”. Determined to be modern, we debuted in the historical Kensington Market.
Then… through hard work, persistence, and patience we sold our very first cup of coffee over joyed! :)
One day, a customer inquired “Do you sell food?” More and more voices, from heart to heart, we heard “Vegetarian is the trend”.
Hence, King’s Café has a small, loving kitchen selling our first vegetarian meal and then many, countless more.
To this day, we participate in many vegetarian exhibitions promoting a healthy diet and healthy eating concepts. Developing new techniques with ingredients based on the authentic history and quality and insisting to respect all. People oriented, we opened a new chapter of the era. Initiating the vegetarian trend, creating harmonious relationships with all neighbors. The appeared conflict between modernism and tradition is in fact a weaved vibration of the East and West and it has transformed into an elegant union. We are deeply touched and wholeheartedly grateful that today, our customers still support the brand King’s Café for it includes the story of you and me and it goes on…
緣起 我們的父母,遠渡重洋移居加拿大,一生茹素、廣結善緣 希望能將所有的美好 回饋給這片土地
我們不擅長 Café 但是取名 King’s Café 因爲友人說:「咖啡是主流」 我們決定邁步走向當地 於是充滿現代時尚的 閃亮登場 在彌漫著歷史傳統的 Kensington Market
那之後 努力、堅持、等待 我們終於賣出第一杯咖啡 欣喜若狂
有一日 客人滿心盼望走向我們 「你們有賣餐嗎?」 越來越多的聲音… 心與心零距離 我們聽見了 「素食是主流」
於是King’s Café 有個小小的幸福廚房 賣出第一份素食餐…延伸到無數
至今日 我們參與許多的素食展覽 致力推行健康的飲食觀念 不斷開發各食材的可能性 稟持歷史的純樸悠遠 堅持尊重食物 以人為本 開創時代的展新風貌 帶動素食潮流 敦親睦鄰 這看似現代與傳統的沖突 交織著東方與西方的脈動 而蛻化成一個美麗的結合 我們滿心感動與衷心感謝
